Petts Wood & Orpington Chess Club

Petts Wood and Orpington Chess Club welcomes players of all strengths and ages. We normally meet on Friday evenings, during our season from mid-September to the end of June. The junior section meets at 6.30 pm and typically runs to about 9.00pm. The adult section mainly plays matches at home or away at other clubs. We meet at St John’s United Reformed Church, Lynwood Grove, Orpington BR6 0BG. We welcome visitors, but in view of the pandemic, require you to wear a mask while you are in the building. Coaching sessions for children start at 6.30pm, while matches against other clubs start at 7.45pm. Primary schoolchildren must be accompanied by an adult carer. There is also an online coaching session for junior beginners which starts at 5.00pm.
