High Street Works Update

Bromley Council has advised of further works to the high street and the rescheduling of the previously announced phase 3 of the high street repairs which were scheduled to be carried out this week.

From 3rd June, the high street will be closed outside 208 - 212 High Street whilst LF Solutions carry our drainage works. A fourth phase of repairs will be carried out by the council's contractor during this closure.

Full details below.

Drainage Works at 208 - 212 High Street

LF Solutions Ltd are installing new drainage to the development at 208 - 212 High Street.

For up to two weeks from 3rd June, the road will be closed outside 208 - 212 High Street, between the junctions of Homefield Rise and Broomhill Road. Traffic will be diverted via Spur Road and Court Road in both directions.

Orpington 1st has requested that the council instruct the developer to include signage advising that businesses remain open as usual.

Phase 4 High Street Works

Work to the blockwork crossing/speed table north of the Homefield Rise/High Street roundabout, on the High Street outside the former Barclays Bank unit. These works will be carried out during the closure for the drainage works outside 208 - 212 High Street, from 3rd June.

Phase 4

Postponed Phase 3

Bromley Council has revised the scope of works for the third phase of repairs, previously scheduled for this week, to include part of the blockwork crossing/speed table at Homefield Rise, adjacent to the roundabout. The works to the roundabout and Homefield Rise blockwork will be rearranged for a later date.

These works will require high street access to Homefield Rise to be closed and a two way traffic lights system installed on the roundabout for traffic through the High Street.
