McDonald’s Orpington celebrates International Women’s Day


On Wednesday 8th March female employees across a group of nine McDonald’s came together for a celebration at the Orpington restaurant.

International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, with the theme for 2023 being #EmbraceEquity - a campaign focusing on the need for gender equity to be part of society's DNA.

Special guests at McDonald’s Orpington included ward councillors Kim Botting and Pauline Tunnicliffe, members of Orpington’s Safer Neighbourhood Team, and Bromley Council Communications Executive, Suzie Clarke.

With the walls of the boardroom adorned with words of positivity and encouragement An champagne and nibbles as they took selfies, Marie Mcvey PR, manager, said, “It’s been a great afternoon spent with amazing women, a big thank you to everyone who popped in and helped make our event so special.”

Cllr. Kim Botting, said, “It was great meeting all the McDonald's staff and listening to some inspirational stories. Thank you to Marie and everyone at BEAP Restaurants for the invite, and for everything you do in the community”.
