On Friday 29th September a group of local business leaders from a cross section of industries attended a roundtable discussion with Orpington MP Gareth Bacon, hosted by Clarkson Wright & Jakes Solicitors and facilitated by Orpington 1st.
The meeting provided a forum in which to exchange views, discuss the challenges and opportunities facing local businesses, as well as looking at the broader economic landscape.
Issues covered included rising costs and diminished consumer spending power, recruitment, housing and regeneration, business rates and general taxation, energy and net zero, and policing.
