Have your say on proposed bus route changes for Orpington

TfL has launched a consultation on proposed changes to some Orpington bus services

The proposals, which TfL says aim to better match bus services to customer demand, would see changes to bus routes R1, R3, and B14, and the withdrawal of routes R2 (which currently travels from Gravel Pit Way to East Hill) and R6 (which currently travels from St Mary Cray/Station Approach to Orpington Station).

The R2 route would be replaced with changes to the R1, which would no longer serve stops between Orpington Rail Station and Green Street Green, instead travelling on to Biggin Hill Valley via Locksbottom and Keston - and the R3 would be rerouted via Towncourt Lane in Petts Wood and extended from Orpington Rail station to Green Street Green.

The R6 Route would be covered by proposed changes to the B14 which would no longer travel down Cray Avenue, instead travelling via Sandway Road and St Mary Cray High Street, and along Lower Road and Orpington High Street to Orpington Rail Station.
