On Saturday, Orpington marked Armed Forces Day with a dignified and heartfelt service led by the Royal British Legion, bringing our community together to recognise the courage, commitment, and sacrifice of those who serve and have served in the UK’s Armed Forces.
We were proud to stand alongside representatives from the Met Police and London Fire Brigade, whose presence underscored the shared values of duty, public service, and protection that unite our uniformed services.
The service reflected Orpington’s deep respect for those who dedicate their lives to keeping others safe. Thank you to the British Legion for hosting, and to all partners and attendees who helped honour our Armed Forces with the dignity they deserve.
