Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, 1926 - 2022

Orpington’s business community is deeply saddened by the news that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has died.

A constant in the lives of the Great British people, and in the lives of peoples across the world, Her Majesty served our country with extraordinary dignity and grace.

As the UK and the Commonwealth enters a ten-day period of mourning, we also reflect on a remarkable woman, and we’re proud to have had the opportunity to mark Her Majesty’s unparalleled 70 years of service, in Orpington town centre earlier this year.

Flag half mast wide

The Union Flag at Orpington War Memorial will fly at half mast until the day following The Queen’s State Funeral, except for the proclamation of King Charles III.

Thank you, and rest in peace, Your Majesty.
